Whatever is the contractual relation between a supplier and his customer, there are rules of control at reception of the goods

During the reception of a lot of products, a customer or a person in charge of manufacturing who has expressed the specifications to the supplier has four possibilities:

- to control the conformity of 100% of the received products;
- to only identify the product, that is to say to only verify that the delivered goods are corresponding to the ordered one;
- to not check any goods;
- to do a pick-in and to check the conformity.

The sampling method is a complement for improvement efforts by providing goals. It also serves as a temporary measure for ensuring quality until successful improvements are made.

AEROUANT Co. Ltd is using the ISO 2859 tables (also known as AQL tables) to measure acceptable levels of quality of the Asian products they inspect. These tables are a US standard with equivalents in all national and international standardization organizations (ANSI/ASQC Z1.4, ISO 2859, NF06-022, BS 6001, DIN 40080)
